Jenny Ku’s apartment is cloaked in sequins, feathers, and fishnet stockings. Her laptop is red — a shade almost as bright as her lipstick — and so is her tea kettle, which brewed jasmine tea on one of spring’s sunnier days. But that doesn’t compare to the 17 pairs of peep-toe pumps peeking out from her rows of boas, dresses, and masks.

BMW expands into Chinatown/ID

Six months ago, BMW Seattle opened its doors in the International District after moving from their Capitol Hill location, where they have been for 25 years. After years of successful business, BMW felt a need to expand but was unable to do so at their Capitol Hill location because they were landlocked. BMW had faced the problem of trying to find a space downtown that was big enough to accommodate their needs.

Nov. 13: Oldest regional Boy Scout troop commemorates 89-year history

Troop #53, the former resident Boy Scout Troop at the Japanese Baptist Church on Capitol Hill, commemorated its 89-year history in a celebration at the Museum of Flight. Troop #53 began in 1920, organized by Clarence Arai and others from the church. The troop was deactivated at the end of 2008 due to declining membership.

After 5 years, the War Room closes its doors

No happy ending in Sex in Seattle’s latest episode

“Sex in Seattle 17: Coming Clean” is this year’s installment of the lives of Jenna, Elizabeth, and Tess — three single Asian American friends coping with their complicated love lives. The play is currently showing at the Richard Hugo House on Capitol Hill through Oct. 17. Its subtitle, “Coming Clean,” refers to the romantic decisions that each woman must make so that she can be truly happy.
