BLOG: Shame on you, Chinese Historical Society

A reproduction of the late James Leong’s mural, “One Hundred Years’ History of the Chinese in America,” will be featured prominently on a decorative building wrap covering San Francisco Chinatown’s subway station on July 14. That’s the good news.

Artist and father James Leong dies of heart complications at the age of 81

Award-winning artist James “Jim” Leong died on Thursday, April 21. He is perhaps most remembered for painting the first Chinese American historical mural in San Francisco.
