On May 5, over 3,000 people visited Seattle Center to celebrate national API Heritage Month. They were met with five hours of programing, including performances from the Filipino Youth Activities Drill Team, Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team, the Massive Monkees, and other cultural groups.
Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) hosted its annual benefit gala, A Culinary Journey, at The Westin Bellevue. About 385 guests attended the sold-out event and more than $121,000 was raised to support ACRS’s 13 programs.
On May 1, the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month was celebrated through a festival in the Center House at Seattle Center.
