Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) hosted its annual benefit gala, A Culinary Journey, at The Westin Bellevue. About 385 guests attended the sold-out event and more than $121,000 was raised to support ACRS’s 13 programs.
In addition to an entrée created by Filipino celebrity chef Dale Talde from Bravo’s “Top Chef” and “Top Chef: All Stars,” the evening featured courses created by chefs Savuthy Dy of the Book Bindery, Lisa Nakamura of Allium, and Jane Cho of Macrina Bakery.
The evening was emceed by former ACRS Board President Christine Chen and featured entertainment by guitarist Angelo Pizarro and the Filipino Youth Activities Drill Team. Guests were also able to bid on themed art centerpieces created exclusively for the event by local artist MalPina Chan. (end)
