Third-year University of Washington dental student Jonathan An won the American Dental Association’s Student Clinician Scholar Award — the ADA’s top honor for student researchers — during the ADA’s annual session in New Orleans in early November.

The American Diabetes Association elected Jeffrey Caballero, executive director of the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations, to its board of directors. Caballero has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California, San Diego, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
