I would like to thank Ryan Pangilinan for his excellent article, “Hong helps Chinatown…” (in the Nov. 6-14 issue). It is the only piece that fully describes Mr. Hong’s contribution — both in money and work — to his community, a tribute to how an immigrant gives back to his community.
Letter: Just say ‘no’ to plastic surgery
I read your article, “Erasing race under the knife.” First off, I’m a white male.
Editorial: ‘Yes, we can.’
In the beginning — who even knew his name? He was a Black candidate who was inexperienced, new to the political scene, lacking in connections higher up, and facing a list of heavyweight contenders like Sen. Hillary Clinton — but from the way the votes fell Tuesday night, the majority strongly sided with Obama over McCain — there is no question who Americans trust to lead them out of this economy and this war. Editorial: Gregoire deserves another four years
Northwest Asian Weekly is endorsing Chris Gregoire for governor because of her proven record in securing the economy, her outreach to the API community, and her commitment to education.
Commentary: I-1000 allows patients a death with dignity
