By Staff Northwest Asian Weekly WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service released its 2013 Lunar New Year stamp, featuring firecrackers, paper-cut designs, and Chinese calligraphy on Jan. 16 to help customers usher in the Year of the Snake.
The colorful Year of the Dragon stamp is the latest collectible in the U.S. Postal Service’s Celebrating Lunar New Year series, which began in 2008 with the Year of the Rat.
