The Chinese Information and Service Center held its 42nd Anniversary Friendship Dinner & Auction on May 31 at Westin Bellevue, where 290 attendees were entertained by lion dancers and participated in live and silent auctions. Nearly $120,000 was raised to fund various programs that help Chinese and other Asian immigrants in the community. (end)

By Staff Northwest Asian Weekly Aegis Living, a Redmond-based assisted living provider administering over two dozen properties in Washington, California, and Nevada, is moving forward with plans to break ground for a new culturally Chinese retirement facility near Bellevue, modeled after its successful Aegis Gardens in Fremont, Calif.
Aegis Living announced the creation of a new advisory board to guide the company on its proposed development of an Asian culture senior living community, the Aegis Gardens of Newcastle. Boardmembers include local leaders Alaric Bien, Dennis Su, Fred Crosetto, LoYu Sun, Mike Jiang, Shiao-Yen Wu, Walter Liang, YP Chan, and Dr. I-Jen Chen.
