Former Mayor Bruce Harrell and his wife, Joanne, were guests at the Seattle Symphony’s Lunar New Year Ball on Feb. 13 at Benaroya Hall.
Asked if he is currently working, Harrell said, “Yes,” but he is not ready to announce anything yet.
More than 200 people attended the event. The program featured performances of Peking Opera and Chinese instruments, and guests feasted on an eight-course dinner catered by Vivienne’s Bistro.
Music director Xian Zhang, Seattle Symphony’s acting CEO Maria Yang, and board chair Susan Coughlin all gave remarks. Helen Kim, associate concertmaster, and Alexander White, associate principal trumpet player, emceed the event.
