InterIm Community Development Authority (InterIm CDA) has named Andrea Akita as its new acting executive director while the group searches for a permanent director. Its former executive director, Hyeok Kim, has taken a position as one of Mayor Ed Murray’s two deputy mayors for Seattle.
Akita joined InterIm CDA last fall as the director of Community and Housing Services. She has more than 20 years of experience working in social services, affordable housing, and community development programs. Most recently, she worked in the City of Seattle’s Human Services Department.
InterIm CDA is a nonprofit affordable housing and community development organization based in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. (end)
