John-Christopher Hoang Trinh, a senior at The Northwest School, was awarded the 2012 Gates Millennium Scholar award. Trinh was one of 1,000 students selected for the award, out competing 24,000 students who applied. He will receive a full scholarship to any U.S. accredited college or university of his choice. Trinh plans to attend the University of California Berkeley in the fall to pursue a degree in business. He plans to apply his knowledge to helping business leaders engage and invest in public service. (end)
