Many refugee youth have lost hope because of civil war or persecution in their home countries. Recently, the need has increased for foster homes for refugee teenagers and sibling groups from Congo, Burma, Bhutan, and Somalia.
People living in King County or Snohomish County have a chance to become a foster parent through Lutheran Community Services.
Foster parents will receive a monthly stipend for the foster youth’s expenses. The youths will also receive full medical and dental coverage. ♦

it is erroneous to use the term “Bhutanese” to the describe the refugees. They are Nepalese in origin and are from Nepal.
