The Seattle Management Association celebrated its 27th Annual Excellence in Management Awards with a banquet at the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle. Councilmember Bruce Harrell, who is half Japanese, was honored with the 2010 Management in Race and Social Justice Award for his leadership on civil rights issues.
Harrell was also recognized for his work in transforming civic and citizen engagement processes for greater inclusion and equity. ♦
Bruce Harrell is very deserving of this award. I noticed he has been the only official to criticize recent actions of the police in addition to carrying on with the Race and social Justice Initiative.
