Let’s see who can smile and swallow a chunk of tofu in seconds. Who can live in a fantasy and pretend to be someone else for an hour?
The tofu eating contest was part of Uwajimaya’s Outdoor Summer Festival. The first Anime Costume contest at Hing Hay Park was part of the Night Market organized by the Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area and Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority in conjunction with the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Department. Both contests were held over the weekend, drawing lots of visitors and residents. ♦
