Renovations of two cultural facilities in Columbia City, the Rainier Valley Cultural Center (RVCC) and the Columbia City Gallery, have been completed. Funds for the renovations were raised by local individuals, foundations, and public agencies.
These two facilities serve more than 10,000 people annually with performing arts productions, youth activities, arts exhibit spaces, and community meeting spaces.
Renovations at the RVCC include a new roof and gutter system, a re-asphalted parking lot, and a new mezzanine sound and light booth, among other things. Improvements at the Columbia City Gallery include a climate control system, new signage, new mezzanine wall, and siding on the back wall, among other things. ♦
