It is often a challenge for social clubs to think of interesting programs for meetings. Goodwill Industries International, Inc., may be able to solve this problem.
I was at the Women’s University Club lunch last week for Goodwill’s Vintage Fashion Show. Goodwill Industries organizes these shows for free for the community as part of its community outreach program.
Some of WUC’s members served as models. This is Goodwill’s way of publicizing its programs and gaining supporters. Even though all the clothes, shoes, hats, and purses were for the show, they were all donated, and they still looked fabulous.
It’s a win-win. ♦
