On June 15, the community foundation of South Puget Sound announced the recipients of the Learning Seed Foundation scholarship. The foundation donated a total of $113,400 to 46 recipients. The foundation provides scholarships to a wide range of ethnicities.
According to the foundation, it is based on putting faith in the students’ future to help them focus on their academic goals.
This year, due to the declining stock market, the foundation received $300,000, but is working to reach its goal of $500,000.
The community foundation of South Puget Sound was founded in 1989 and works to encourage families, individuals, and businesses toward philanthropy. ♦
