June 8: Taky Kimura, 85, graduates from high school

Taky Kimura was taken to a Japanese internment camp the day before his high school graduation 67 years ago.

He finally received his diploma at Clallam Bay High School and was Clallam Bay’s salutatorian. He was one of Bruce Lee’s first kung fu students and became a close friend to the famous martial artist. ♦

  3. Good to know of all your have accomplished, Taky. Just purchased Regards from the Dragon–very impressive. Plan to give it to Jay for Christmas. Wish we were close enough to get it autographed.
