The Northwest chapter of Families with Children from China (NW-FCC) will be having their very first teen service China trip. From July 17 to Aug. 2, 11 teenagers along with nine adults will be visiting orphanages close to Beijing, Inner Mongolia, and Xian. The trip serves to provide services for these orphanages and to give the adopted teenagers a better understanding of their heritage.
The teenagers will be going back to their home country and will be doing community service work in local cities.
NW-FCC works to help families who have adopted Chinese children.
They organize play groups for these children and provide parenting classes. This organization also hosted several events in the Puget Sound area.
Their director board serves the community by hosting an annual Chinese New Year celebration, egg hunts, and the Heritage Camp at Camp Casey.
The NW-FCC is a nondenominational organization that provides information and support for families with adopted Chinese children. ♦
