For Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May, Boeing News Now recognized Ted Yamamura, a 30-year Boeing veteran, for his contributions to Boeing and the Asian American community.
As president of the Boeing Asian American Professional Association chapter in Puget Sound, he was well aware of the broad cultural understanding, language skills, and other talents possessed by Boeing employees of Asian heritage. Because of this, Yamamura helped launch a series of cultural awareness presentations to share that knowledge with the rest of the company.
Yamamura earned an engineering degree at the University of Washington in the 1970s and joined the aerospace industry as a structural engineer.

What is wonderful about great literature is that it transforms the man who reads it towards the condition of the man who wrote.
