If you haven’t already received your ballot, expect them by Friday, Oct. 16, as county elections offices statewide mail ballots to more than 5.1 million registered voters for the Nov. 3 general election.
Voters will decide local, state and federal races, along with three statewide ballot measures. Ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day. The Secretary of State’s Office recommends using an official ballot drop box. Voters who mail their ballots should do so more than a week before the election. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 to be considered on time.
Voters can review candidates and measures in the statewide voters’ pamphlet, mailed to Washington residences earlier this month, or access a personalized voter guide at VoteWA.gov.
Eligible residents who are not registered to vote can register online or by mail through Oct. 26. After that, in-person registration is available at county elections offices and voting centers until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Registered voters can check their registration and ballot status at VoteWA.gov and sign up for text notifications online or by texting “VOTE” to 868392.
