The 830 people who helped Seattle’s Chinatown-International District break a Guinness World Record by eating dim sum together can now add an official certificate to their collection of memories from the record-setting event.
Participants who would like to purchase an individual Guinness World Records certificate can order one directly through the official Guinness World Records online store.

The certificate adds a tangible reminder of an event that brought hundreds of people together along South King Street during the opening week of FIFA World Cup matches in Seattle.
The group set the record by having 830 people simultaneously eat dim sum, surpassing the previous record of 764 participants set in Sydney, Australia, in 2019.
The event drew participants to two blocks of South King Street, where red-covered tables stretched from Maynard Avenue South to 8th Avenue South. Jade Garden Restaurant provided the dim sum for the attempt.
The event was conceived as a way to showcase the Chinatown-International District and bring visitors into a neighborhood with more than 300 businesses, more than half of which are restaurants and retail establishments.
