Nearly $9,000 was raised for Friends of Little Saigon (FLS) during the first-ever Vietnamese Heritage Night with the Seattle Mariners, bringing about 1,800 community members together to celebrate Vietnamese culture and support Seattle’s Little Saigon.
The event last month featured a lion dance performance by Vovinam Quang Trung of Burien, while FLS staff members Andy and Le-Vy joined the on-field festivities by throwing out the first pitch.
Each ticket purchased for the heritage night included a donation to FLS. The organization said the funds will support its work to preserve and strengthen the Little Saigon neighborhood.
