Seattle Parks and Recreation wants to hear from the community about what kind of outdoor exercise equipment it would like to see at Hing Hay Park in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District (CID).
Residents can stop by the Seattle Parks booth at the CID Night Market this Saturday, Sept. 26 from 1 to 9 p.m. to see equipment options and share their thoughts. The booth will be near the corner of King Street and Maynard Avenue South.
Can’t make it to the night market? Seattle Parks is also collecting feedback online.
The project will update the existing fitness equipment at Hing Hay Park, with the goal of creating a free, welcoming and accessible place for CID seniors to exercise.
The project is funded through the Seattle Park District’s Park CommUNITY Fund, which supports community-driven projects aimed at improving access to parks and recreation facilities. The
