An Indian national has been indicted in Minnesota after prosecutors accused him of falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen so he could vote in the 2024 election.
Mukeshkumar Somabhai Chaudhari is accused of signing a voter certificate on Nov. 5, 2024, affirming that he was a U.S. citizen when he was not.
He faces two federal charges and could receive up to five years in prison on each count if convicted.
