K. L. “George” Liu, husband of Northwest Asian Weekly founder Assunta Ng, has died.
Ng said that he passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 26. He was 78 years old and had been dealing with recent health issues.
Liu is survived by Ng, sons Jason and John, and daughter-in-law Tracy.
Liu began his career as a computer engineer before leaving the field to join the family newspaper business.
The family asks for privacy and space as they grieve his passing, and requests that people refrain from calling or contacting them at this time.
A celebration of life will be held in November, with the date to be announced.
