The festival, organized by Friends of Little Saigon, is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at Hoa Mai Park, the Nisei Vets Hall parking lot, and Little Saigon Creative—all walking distance from one another.
Among the activities will be two food-related contests. A pho-eating contest for adults is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., followed by a spring roll-wrapping contest open to all ages at 2 p.m.
Volunteers and staff wearing red Celebrate Little Saigon shirts will be available throughout the event to assist attendees.
Organizers are encouraging visitors to use public transportation. The International District/Chinatown Station light rail station is about a half-mile walk from the festival. Paid parking lots and street parking are also available nearby.
