The PNW Queer Desi Group took home the Best Float award in Seattle Pride’s first-ever People’s Choice Awards, earning the honor after paradegoers voted for their favorite entries following Sunday’s Seattle Pride Parade.
Seattle Pride announced the winners after online voting closed June 30. The new awards recognize standout parade entries in three categories: Best Float, Best Performance and Best Rally.

Cheer Seattle won both Best Performance and Best Rally, which recognizes the group that best reflected this year’s theme, “Rally.”
Winning groups will receive a commemorative plaque, priority placement in the 2027 Seattle Pride Parade and other prizes. Seattle Pride said the People’s Choice Awards will return next year.
“The People’s Choice Award marks a way for the community to celebrate the parade’s marching groups, performers, and float builders, whose creativity and visibility help make the Seattle Pride Parade one of the largest Pride celebrations in the country,” said Patti Hearn, executive director of Seattle Pride. “Seattle Pride thanks everyone who marched, performed, and voted.”
