Seattle Chinatown Block Watch celebrated its eighth anniversary by bringing together neighborhood safety groups from across Seattle during this year’s Chinatown Seafair Parade.
The organization invited members of Pioneer Square Block Watch/Circle the Square and Capitol Hill First Hill Block Watch/Circle the Blocks to join its volunteers in the July 19 parade, highlighting the shared commitment among community groups to promote public safety and strengthen neighborhood connections.
Together, Block Watch volunteers marched alongside young adults, handed out 911 emergency stickers featuring the Chinese character for “bravery,” waved to spectators and encouraged residents to stay engaged in keeping their communities safe.
