Organizers of the CID Summer Kickoff are inviting the public to participate in an official Guinness World Records attempt for the Largest Dim Sum Gathering on June 18 in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District (CID).
The record attempt is part of the CID Summer Kickoff, a day-long celebration featuring local restaurants, artists, performers and community organizations, along with food, music and cultural programming.
The event is open to all ages, though participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Officials said the attempt will be verified through multiple measures, including participant registration, video documentation, aerial photography and independent witnesses.
The required dim sum item will be provided to registered participants. Organizers noted that food may contain common allergens. Spectators are welcome, with public viewing areas and additional activities planned throughout the neighborhood.
