Seattle police are investigating a hit-and-run that left two men seriously injured in the Chinatown-International District (CID) late Sunday night.
Officers responded around 11:40 p.m. May 31 to reports of a collision near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. When they arrived, they found a 29-year-old man and a 36-year-old man with serious injuries. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Investigators interviewed witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage obtained through the department’s Real Time Crime Center.
According to police, a dark-colored vehicle was traveling westbound on South Jackson Street when it crossed the intersection, accelerated onto the sidewalk and struck the two men. The driver then continued west without stopping.
