Yin, of Kirkland, is pursuing a degree in software development with a focus on artificial intelligence and serves as president of the TechBiz student club. She aims to use technology to support healthier, more sustainable communities.
Cassel, of Seattle, is completing an associate transfer degree with a focus on philosophy, psychology and neuroscience. She has led both the philosophy and psychology student clubs and plans to continue her studies at a four-year university.
Yin, Cassel, and their fellow honorees—Silena Calentine and Luana Marcela Da Silva Sousa—were recognized during an April 23 ceremony at South Puget Sound Community College.
The All-Washington Academic Team is part of Phi Theta Kappa, which honors top students from the state’s community and technical colleges.
