The Sikh community gathered at the Khalsa Gurmat Center on April 11 in Federal Way, to celebrate Vaisakhi with a day of religious and cultural events.
The annual festival, which marks the birth of the Khalsa and the end of the harvest season, drew attendees for a Nagar Kirtan procession, performances of Gatka, a traditional Sikh martial art, and the sharing of langar, a free community meal.
Participants joined in prayer, music and community gathering, reflecting a tradition observed by Sikh communities around the world.
