Seattle police are investigating a shooting on Tuesday afternoon in the Chinatown-International District (CID) that left a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man seriously injured.
At 4:10 p.m., dispatchers received reports of gunfire in the 600 block of South Jackson Street. Officers arrived and found both victims with gunshot wounds. The 16-year-old was shot in the torso, and arm and 19-year-old suffered wounds to the hand and ankle.
Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police say the victims were walking east on the sidewalk when a sedan pulled up next to them. Some kind of confrontation broke out, and someone in the car started shooting before the driver sped off east on South Jackson Street.
