The King County Immigrant and Refugee Commission is looking for five new members and is accepting applications through April 30.
The volunteer commission advises King County leaders on policies and programs affecting immigrant and refugee communities, while helping strengthen outreach and community engagement.
“Now more than ever, it’s critical that local leaders are hearing directly from immigrant and refugee communities about their needs and challenges so we can work together on solutions,” said King County Girmay Zahilay..
Created in 2018, the commission meets monthly, with members serving three-year terms.
Applicants must live in King County and have experience or knowledge of immigrant and refugee issues. Priority will go to those nominated by immigrant-led organizations.
More information and applications are available online.
