Seattle police officers are investigating a shooting on Thursday morning that injured a 37-year-old man near Hing Hay Park in the Chinatown-International District (CID).
At about 6:20 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Maynard Avenue South. They found a man in an alleyway with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Police say the suspect and the victim got into some kind of confrontation before the shooting, and they’re still piecing together what led up to it. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already taken off, and they haven’t been able to find him yet.
