The UW URBAN 407 Planning Studio recently toured the Fourth Avenue corridor between the Chinatown-International District (CID) and Pioneer Square, where they examined conditions and gathered information to support their work.
Brien Chow, of Transit Equity for All, led the tour and guided students through the area. Chow discussed preliminary concepts for a potential lid project, including a drawing previously presented at a Sound Transit workshop, and suggested the corridor as a possible site for further study.
Students will return to the area to take measurements, collect demographic data, produce drawings and conduct community surveys as part of their coursework.
