Brandon Ting, founder and CEO of Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya and Supreme Dumplings, was named the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award recipient at Bellevue College during a fundraising gala.
About 200 donors attended the Bellevue College Foundation’s Diamond Jubilee event on April 18, which generated $415,200 to support student scholarships, emergency aid and academic programs, college officials said.
Ting began at Bellevue College as an English language learner and graduated in 2009.
“I still remember my first ESL speech class,” Ting recalled. “I still remember my teacher’s name was Jay. If he were here tonight, seeing me complete my speech… I believe he would
feel proud of me and maybe a little emotional. Thank you, Bellevue College, for giving me the start.”
The event featured a student showcase, remarks from college leaders and a live auction. A “Raise the Paddle” segment brought in nearly $192,000.
Proceeds from the event will contribute to scholarships expected to exceed $885,000 in the 2025–26 academic year.
