
The program kicked off at Hing Hay Park, where CID BIA Executive Director Tuyen Than welcomed attendees and recognized the Year of the Horse, symbolizing proactivity and persistence.
The event vibrant dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, and drumming that energized the streets. More than 50 food vendors lined the streets, serving everything from Korean fried chicken to Vietnamese Bánh Mì sandwiches.
Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes also addressed the crowd, sharing enthusiasm for joining the celebration, experiencing the food, and connecting with community members.
