Seattle police officers are investigating a shooting that injured a legally blind man, 40s, in the Chinatown-International District (CID).
At about 11:17 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to reports of an injured man, bleeding, near 5th Avenue South and South Weller Street. They found the victim with two suspected gunshot wounds to his leg. He was treated and taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Officers cordoned off the area to process the scene and search for evidence. The circumstances leading up to the assault are under investigation.
