Seattle University School of Law has established a new scholarship to support global legal education, the school announced.
The Mehta Wahi Scholarship, funded by Pallavi Mehta Wahi and Ash Wahi, will support an incoming Master of Laws student with a demonstrated interest in South Asia-related legal, social or policy issues.
The award will be administered in partnership with the Roundglass India Center, which promotes teaching, research and dialogue related to India and the Indian diaspora.
Professor Sital Kalantry, the center’s founding director, said scholarships supporting cross-border legal study help broaden legal perspectives and strengthen ties between legal communities.
Seattle University School of Law enrolls students from around the world and emphasizes access to justice and public service in its programs.
