Seattle police officers arrested a 42-year-old man armed with a knife and machete on the morning of Feb. 19. Officers responded to reports of an erratic, stumbling man cutting through wires on a telephone pole near the Yesler Way overpass in the Chinatown-International District.
Officers approached the man, and used a taser on him, after he refused to drop the weapon. They took him into custody for unlawful use of weapons, and found him to have a $30,000 felony warrant for burglary.
Officers booked the suspect to the King County Jail. Police recovered the knife and machete as evidence.
