Dr. Lisa Chin has been appointed as Juma’s new CEO, succeeding Adriane Armstrong, who served Juma for 14 years, including seven years as CEO.
Chin brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in youth-serving organizations. Most recently, she served as CEO of Treehouse, where she advanced educational outcomes for foster youth. Her previous roles include president & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of King County and founding executive director of Year Up Seattle.
“I am honored to join an organization that has been doing such incredible work for young people for more than 30 years,” Chin said. “I look forward to partnering with Juma’s board, staff, donors, and community supporters to build on its strong foundation and expand opportunities so every young person we serve has the tools and support they need to thrive.”
In the Seattle area, Juma has provided 1,400 youth with workforce training and educational opportunities through its partnership with Lumen Field, Climate Pledge Arena, University of Washington’s Husky Stadium, and T-Mobile Park.
