Skier Eileen Gu won her sixth Olympic medal in Milan, grabbing gold at the ski halfpipe event on Feb. 22. It is Gu’s third gold medal in two Olympics games. Her win is history-making: she is the first athlete in her sport to win three gold medals.
The 22-year-old Gu was born in the U.S., but skis for China. Just before she headed up the mountain where she would claim her sixth medal, she tied a gold ribbon in her hair, “just in case.”
