“Twelve as one,” they listened to what Seahawks Coach Mike MacDonald said to them all season long. And they believed in him. They showed up at the home games, away games. Seventy-five percent of the fans, affectionately called “the 12s,” at the Super Bowl at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara were Seahawks fans. The players felt at home surrounded by 12s as they defeated the New England Patriots on Feb. 8. And three days later, back at home, the 12s filled Lumen Stadium once more to celebrate their team, the LX Super Bowl Champions. After the ceremony, they filed onto Fourth Avenue to join the masses already waiting there since the wee hours of the morning to watch a parade worthy of a championship team.
