Ming-Ming Tung-Edleman is no longer the executive director of Refugee Artisan Initiative (RAI)—a nonprofit that she founded in 2017.
RAI announced a leadership change and stated that their work “would not have been possible without Ming-Ming’s vision and devotion. We thank her for all she’s done for RAI and wish her all the best.”
As of the time of publication, RAI’s website still showed Tung-Edleman as the founder and executive director.
The organization said the transition had been under discussion for several months and involved outside consultants, leadership coaches and mediators. Officials declined to share details, citing human resources and legal considerations and the need to protect privacy.
Beth Halvorsen, a former board member, will continue serving as interim CEO while the board begins a search for a new executive director.
RAI said its staff, contractors and artisans remain in place and its programs continue without interruption.
