The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS) held its annual fundraiser, the Blue Marble Bash, on April 20.
$19,000 was raised that night and FIUTS presented its Betty and Hiro Ogawa Awards, which grants $5,000 scholarships each year to two University of Washington graduate or undergraduate students, from any country, in recognition of their work to promote cross-cultural understanding between Japan and the United States through their involvement in FIUTS programs.
