Close to 200 friends and staff of Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) held a retirement on Jan. 25 for Gary Tang.

There were various performances and dances. Many attendees wore their native costumes and took turns giving Tang hugs, bringing tears to his eyes.

Tang founded ACRS’ Club Bamboo, which caters to wellness for seniors, and he is credited for expanding the program.
