November 14, 2016 By Northwest Asian Weekly

Daniele Meñez

Daniele Meñez

Daniele Meñez is the newly elected president of Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW). Meñez was born in Saipan and lived in the Philippines until her family decided to settle in Guam when she was 4.

Some of her goals as ASUW president include continuing to advocate for in-state tuition reductions, committing to students’ physical, emotional, and mental health, and improving the transition for out-of-state, international, veteran, nontraditional, and part-time students.
