Over 80 people attended an AAPI community welcome reception for the new Seattle Colleges Chancellor on Sept. 20 at Joyale Seafood Restaurant.. The event was Dr. Peter Ku’s (Chancellor from 1998 to 2003) idea. A committee was formed and the reception became a reality, thanks to planning members Maria Lamarca Anderson, Michael Lock, May Lukens, Rosa Melendez, Assunta Ng, Stacy Nguyen, and Evelyn Yenson.
